The exhibition The World Goes On brings together the work of artists Nico Parlevliet and Ton Kraayeveld for the first time. This occurs literally in a work consisting of three sculptural figures by Parlevliet, positioned in front of a painting by Kraayeveld on which the words *this – world – goes – on* rotate continuously. The exhibition can be understood as a “match” between the two artists, a contest between the two-dimensional works of one artist and the—often sound-producing—three-dimensional objects of the other. There is no winner, rather a “match” in the sense of a connection and meeting of minds.The World Goes On!
